Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Sunday, Nov. 10th.

In eastern Nebraska in Cedar County on the 6th, an adult MEW GULL and an
adult BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE were seen at Gavin's Point Dam.

In Knox County on the 9th, a first winter SURF SCOTER was seen in the
Niobrara Marsh 1/4 mile south of the Standing Bear bridge.

In Dixon County on the 9th, a female BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER was seen on a
farm northwest of Wakefield.

In Lancaster County on the 5th in Lincoln at Holmes Lake, 6 HOODED
MERGANSERS, 2 COMMON MERGANSERS and a RED-BREASTED MERGANSER were found.
Also on the 5th at Wagontrain Lake, 3 GREAT EGRETS, 2 HORNED GREBES, an
immature SURF SCOTER, an OSPREY and 2 TREE SWALLOWS were seen. At
Stagecoach Lake on the 5th, 2 WESTERN GREBES were found.

In Butler County on the 9th, a SEDGE WREN was found 3 miles northeast of Dwight.

In Platte County on the 8th north of Columbus, 50,000 SNOW GEESE were
seen at Lake Babcock.

In Sarpy County on the 9th in Bellevue, a HERMIT THRUSH was spotted in
Fontenelle Forest, and on the 7th, 2 PILEATED WOODPECKERS and a FOX SPARROW
were found there.

In Iowa south of Council Bluffs on the 8th, 2 BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERONS
and 4 BALD EAGLES were found at Lake Manawa.
