Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Friday, November 19th.

In western Nebraska on the 18th in Keith County at Lake McConaughy, a
juvenile dark morph POMARINE JAEGER was seen chasing gulls above Kingsley dam.

In Scotts Bluff County on the 18th, 3 PACIFIC LOONS were seen at Lake
Minatare and a PACIFIC LOON was seen at Winters Creek Lake.

In eastern Nebraska in Seward County on the 17th, an immature GOLDEN
EAGLE and an immature BALD EAGLE were seen at Oak Glenn WMA north of
Garland. Also on the 17th, a NORTHERN SHRIKE was spotted 3 miles
southwest of Oak Glen WMA.

In Sarpy County on the 16th at Fontenelle Forest, a PILEATED WOODPECKER
was found in Mill Hollow.

In Iowa south of Council Bluffs on the 19th, 5 COMMON LOONS, 3 HORNED
GREBES and 11 species of ducks, including a female COMMON MERGANSER and a
female RED-BREASTED MERGANSER, were seen at Lake Manawa.
