Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Friday, November 24th.

In eastern Nebraska in Sarpy County on the 23rd,  a LONG-TAILED DUCK
remained in a small patch of open water at Wehrspann Lake.  Also seen
there were 2 GREAT BLUE-HERONS, a female WOOD DUCK, 2 AMERICAN WIGEONS,
several GADWALLS and 6 COMMON GOLDENEYES.

In Douglas County on the 21st, 2 RED CROSSBILLS were spotted in the pine
grove in the northwest corner of Standing Bear Recreation Area on Ida
Street west of 144th.  Also on the 21st, the BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE was
seen standing on the ice and then was seen flying away from the lake.

In Cass County on the 22nd, 5 PINE SISKINS were seen at a feeder in
Elmwood.  On the 23rd, several SNOW BUNTINGS and 19 RUSTY BLACKBIRDS were
found 2 miles west of Elmwood.  On the 23rd in South Bend on south Lake
Park Road, a WESTERN GREBE and 2 DOUBLE-CRESTED CORMORANTS were found at
Middle Island Lake.  Also on the 23rd, 18 BALD EAGLES were seen near
South Bend along the Platte River.

In Cedar County on the 24th, a LONG-TAILED DUCK was found above the south
end of the dam at Gavin's Point, and 5 BALD EAGLES were seen below the dam.
 Also on the 24th, a GOLDEN EAGLE was seen on a fencepost being harassed
by a BLACK-BILLED MAGPIE one mile south and 2 miles west of Sportsman's
Access.

In Knox County on the 24th a PRAIRIE FALCON was spotted just east of
Highway 14, 3 miles north of Highway 59, and a BLACK-BILLED MAGPIE was seen
along Highway 121 south of Gavin's Point Dam one half mile south of
junction 54C.  On the 24th, 2 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS were seen in Knox
County.   Also on the 24th, a NORTHERN SHRIKE visited a backyard in
Creighton.

In central Nebraska on the 24th in Holt County, 3 groups of GRAY
PARTRIDGES were found north of O'Neill.
