Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Friday, March 10th.

In Central Nebraska on the 10th in Hall County, a COMMON CRANE was
spotted by observers at 5 pm CST and was again found in the same area at
5:25 CST. To find the bird, exit I-80 at Wood River (Exit 300) and cross
the Platte River. The bird was located about 0.5 mile west of the
intersection of Denman Rd. and Highway 11. Denman Rd. is the first road
south of the river.

On the 9th in Harlan County, AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS, 60 SANDHILL CRANES
and 3 BONAPARTE'S GULLS were seen at Harlan Reservoir.

In Phelps County on the 5th at Funk Lagoon, GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE,
100,00 SNOW GEESE, ROSS'S GEESE, about 1500 REDHEADS, a VIRGINIA RAIL, 20
BREWER'S BLACKBIRDS and GREAT-TAILED GRACKLES were found.

In eastern Nebraska on the 7th in Lancaster County, a BLACK-BILLED MAGPIE
was spotted near the northwest side of Branched Oak Lake at 182nd St. and
Agnew Road.

In Sarpy County on the 9th and 10th in Bellevue, a YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER
was seen in the birdline backyard.
