Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Sunday, November 11th.

In central Nebraska in Dawson County, a COSTA'S HUMMINGBIRD was
identified in Lexington. It has been visiting a feeder for about 5 weeks
in Kathy Niederdeppe's yard. Contact her at 308 324-5941 for directions
to view the bird.

On the 11th in Buffalo County, flocks of LAPLAND LONGSPURS and a dark morph
FERRUGINOUS HAWK were seen north of Highway 30 west of Kearney. On the
8th, an OSPREY was seen near the Archway Monument.

In western Nebraska in Dundy County on the 2nd, a FERRUGINOUS HAWK was
spotted along Highway 34 near the Hitchcock County line. Also on the
2nd, a GOLDEN EAGLE was seen near Haigler.

In eastern Nebraska in York County on the 10th, 5 PINE SISKINS were seen
at a feeder on the western edge of York.

In Iowa south of Council Bluffs on the 10th, 2 LONG-TAILED DUCKS and 5
HOODED MERGANSERS were seen on Lake Manawa.
