Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Saturday, November 17th.

In central Nebraska in Dawson County, the COSTA'S HUMMINGBIRD was not
seen in Lexington on the 17th.

In eastern Nebraska in Douglas County on the 17th, a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK
was seen at Eppley Airport in Omaha. Also on the 17th, a SOLITARY VIREO
was banded at Neale Woods Nature Center north of Omaha.

In Sarpy County on the 15th in Bellevue, a PILEATED WOODPECKER was seen
in Fontenelle Forest at the south end of Hidden Lake.

In Iowa south of Council Bluffs on the 17th, an AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN and
a PEREGRINE FALCON were seen at the MidAmerican south pond. On the 17th
at Lake Manawa, 2 GREAT BLUE HERONS, an adult BALD EAGLE, a HERRING GULL
and a FOX SPARROW were found.
