Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Friday, January 26th.

In western Nebraska in Sioux County on the 21st, 6 BLACK ROSY-FINCHES and
200 GRAY-CROWNED ROSY-FINCHES were seen along the Henry Road. On the
21st, a WINTER WREN (western race) was seen in Monroe Canyon. Also on
the 21st, 41 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS were spotted in Sioux County.

In Dawes County on the 21st, 40 PINYON JAYS were seen at a feeder in Crawford.

In central Nebraska on the 21st in Kearney Buffalo County, a PRAIRIE
FALCON was spotted 2 miles south of Shelton. Also on the 21st, a
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was seen 3 miles west of Denman. On the 21st, a
NORTHERN HARRIER, a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK and 45 WESTERN MEADOWLARKS were found
on the Audubon Rowe Sanctuary.

In eastern Nebraska in Dodge County on the 21st, 50 SNOW BUNTINGS were
seen north of Ames.

In Knox County on the 24th, a MERLIN visited a backyard feeder in Creighton.

In Dixon County on the 26th, 6 COMMON GRACKLES and 3 SNOW BUNTINGS were
seen northwest of Wakefield.

In Sarpy County on the 22nd, a flock of 55 CEDAR WAXWINGS was seen in
Whispering Timbers housing area just west of Fontenelle Forest.
