Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Tuesday, February 13th.

In western Nebraska in Sioux County on the 10th the following birds were
found: 53 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS, 9 GOLDEN EAGLES, 32 SHARP-TAILED GROUSE, 8
SNOW BUNTINGS at the Faessler Ranch off Highway 29, 200 GRAY-CROWNED
ROSY-FINCHES at Wind Springs Ranch, 120 at Agate Fossil Beds National
Monument & 13 in Harrison. Also seen were 3 BLACK ROSY-FINCHES at Wind
Springs Ranch & 1 at Agate Fossil Beds National Monument.

In central Nebraska in Buffalo County on the 9th, a LONG-EARED OWL was
found 3 miles southeast of Gibbon. On the 11th in northwest Buffalo
County, a NORTHERN HARRIER, a SHARP-SHINNED HAWK, a FERRUGINOUS HAWK, 2
ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS, a GREATER PRAIRIE-CHICKEN (found dead on the road),
600 AMERICAN ROBINS & 50 CEDAR WAXWINGS were found.

In eastern Nebraska in Cass County on the 10th, 25 SNOW BUNTINGS were
seen 4 miles west of Elmwood. On the 7th, 7 EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVES were
seen at a feeder in Elmwood.
