Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Tuesday, February 5th.

In central Nebraska in Buffalo County on the 3rd, 18 EURASIAN
COLLARED-DOVES were seen in Pleasanton. On the 2nd in Kearney, 50
GREATER WHITE-FRONTED GEESE, a ROSS'S GOOSE and 5 HOODED MERGANSERS were
seen on a pond behind Grandpa's Steakhouse. Also on the 2nd, 11 EASTERN
BLUEBIRDS, 60 CEDAR WAXWINGS and a SPOTTED TOWHEE were found at the Fort
Kearney Hike/Bike Trail Bridge. On the 3rd, a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK and a
NORTHERN SHRIKE were seen at Ft. Kearney State Park. A NORTHERN
MOCKINGBIRD was spotted near Audubon Rowe Sanctuary on the 3rd.

In eastern Nebraska in Dixon County on the 4th, 3 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS, a
GOLDEN EAGLE and a NORTHERN SHRIKE were seen at Buckskin Hills.

In Knox County on the 2nd at Niobrara State Park, a NORTHERN SHRIKE, a
TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRE and a YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLER were seen. Also on the
2nd, 5 ROUGH-LEGGED HAWKS were seen between Creighton and Niobrara.

In York County on the 3rd, 5 WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS were found in
Greenwood Cemetery in York.

In Clay County on the 2nd, 5 SNOW BUNTINGS were seen at Harvard WPA.
