Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Tuesday, February 12th.

In western Nebraska in Keith County on the 8th, 7 TRUMPETER SWANS, 2
GREATER SCAUP, a CALIFORNIA GULL, 3 adult THAYER'S GULLS and 2 adult
GLAUCOUS GULLS were found at Lake McConaughy. Also on the 8th, a WINTER
WREN was seen on the southeast side of Lake Ogallala.

In Cheyenne County on the 8th in Sydney, 6 WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS were
found in the Greenwood Cemetery.

In eastern Nebraska in Lancaster County on the 9th at Branched Oak Lake,
a HOODED MERGANSER, 3 BALD EAGLES, a RING-BILLED GULL, a HERRING GULL, a
BARRED OWL and a FOX SPARROW were found.

In Seward County on the 9th a GREAT BLUE HERON, 3 LESSER SCAUP, a
COOPER'S HAWK and 2 EASTERN BLUEBIRDS were seen at Twin Lakes SRA.

In Sarpy County on the 6th south of Bellevue, at least 25 BALD EAGLES
were found south of Offutt Lake.

In Iowa at DeSoto NWR on the 5th, 2 TRUMPETER SWANS were see on the ice.
South of Council Bluffs on the 9th, a HOODED MERGANSER and a RING-BILLED
GULL were found at the MidAmerican south pond.
