Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Monday, March 4th.

In eastern Nebraska in Douglas County on the 3rd, a GREAT BLUE HERON, a
KILLDEER, a FRANKLIN'S GULL and 12 species of waterfowl including 8 HOODED
MERGANSERS were found at Two Rivers State Recreation Area. On the 1st in
Omaha, 3 COMMON REDPOLLS visited a feeder in the Keystone area.

In Washington County on the 1st near Fort Calhoun, a VARIED THRUSH was
seen on South 7th Street about 1/10 of a mile from the stop sign at Fort
Atkinson State Park.

In Sarpy County on the 3rd, a YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER and a PINE WARBLER
visited the Birdline feeders in Bellevue.

In Knox County on the 3rd, 3 TUNDRA SWANS were seen at Niobrara Marsh.

In Dixon County on the 4th, a COMMON REDPOLL continued to be seen at a
feeder northwest of Wakefield.

In central Nebraska in Rock County on the 2nd, 12 WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILLS
were still coming to feeders in Bassett.
