Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Tuesday, May 14th.

In central Nebraska in Buffalo County on the 13th, 3 LAZULI BUNTINGS were
coming to feeders in Kearney. In Hall County on the 11th, 6 WILLOW
FLYCATCHERS and a BELL'S VIREO were found.

In eastern Nebraska in Sarpy County on the 14th in Bellevue, a
YELLOW-BILLED CUCKOO, 2 GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSHES and 18 species of warblers
were found in Fontenelle Forest including, 3 PROTHONOTARY WARBLERS, a
CERULEAN WARBLER, a BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER and a MOURNING WARBLER. On the
12th in Fontenelle Forest, a CAPE MAY WARBLER and a SUMMER TANAGER were
seen in the uplands south of Gifford Rd., and a BAY-BREASTED WARBLER was
found on Hackberry Trail. In Douglas County on the 11th, 2 CERULEAN
WARBLERS, a KENTUCKY WARBLER and a SCARLET TANAGER were found on the north
side of Hummel Park along the creek. On the 11th, a PROTHONOTARY WARBLER
was spotted at Heron Haven in northwest Omaha.

In Richardson County on the 11th, a CHUCK-WILL'S-WIDOW and 14 species of
warblers, including GOLDEN-WINGED were seen at Indian Cave State Park.

In Washington County on the 13th at Neale Woods, a GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER
and a MOURNING WARBLER were seen on the Krimlofski Tract.

In the eastern Rainwater Basin on the 14th, 3 WHITE-FACED IBIS and a
BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER were found.

In Lancaster County on the 12th at Pawnee Lake, a COMMON LOON and a COMMON
TERN were found. On the 11th at Wilderness Park in Lincoln, an
OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER, a BLUE-WINGED WARBLER and a GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER
were seen and on the 12th, a BLACK-THROATED GREEN WARBLER and a SUMMER
TANAGER were found there. On the 13th, a YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT was seen
at Pioneers Park. On the 14th, a CAPE MAY WARBLER was seen at a birdbath
in a Lincoln yard. On the 10th, 8 BOBOLINKS were seen in Sprague.

In Seward County on the 12th, 12 species of shorebirds were seen at North
Lake Basin including 6 AMERICAN GOLDEN-PLOVERS and 10 HUDSONIAN GODWITS.

In western Nebraska in Scotts Bluff County on the 11th, a CALIFORNIA GULL
was seen at the Gering sewage lagoons and a CINNAMON TEAL, a BALD EAGLE and 3
BLACK-NECKED STILTS were found at the Scottsbluff sewage lagoons. In
Morrill County on the 11th, 3 SNOWY EGRETS were seen at Mud Springs. On
the 14th, a PYGMY NUTHATCH and a LAZULI BUNTING were seen at Wildcat Hills
Nature Center.

In Garden County on the 11th, a BARN OWL, a MAGNOLIA WARBLER and a
BLACK-HEADED GROSBEAK were found at Crescent Lake NWR.
