Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Friday, May 24th.

In central Nebraska on the 22nd the following species were found at
Calamus Reservoir SRA: OSPREY, BLACK-BILLED CUCKOO, KENTUCKY WARBLER,
AMERICAN REDSTART and YELLOW-BREASTED CHAT.

In Rock County on the 24th, a WHITE-WINGED CROSSBILL continues to visit a
feeder in Bassett.

In eastern Nebraska in Douglas County on the 21st, a BROAD-WINGED HAWK,
an EASTERN WOOD- PEWEE and a CERULEAN WARBLER and a CHESTNUT-SIDED WARBLER
were found in Hummel Park.
On the 23rd, 2 EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVES were seen in a yard a mile west of
Heron Haven in northwest Omaha. In Sarpy County on the 20th in Bellevue,
a BLACKBURNIAN WARBLER was seen on the upland boardwalk in Fontenelle
Forest and on the 19th, a BAY-BREASTED WARBLER and a SUMMER TANAGER were
found there.

In Burt County on the 20th at Summit Lake, 2 RUDDY TURNSTONES, 25 DUNLIN
and a SEDGE WREN were seen.

In Lancaster County 23rd south of Ceresco, several SEDGE WRENS, 5
BOBOLINKS and 2 GREAT- TAILED GRACKLES were seen at Jack Sinn WMA. On the
21st, 4 EARED GREBES and 4 CASPIAN TERNS were found a Pawnee Lake. In
Seward County on the 20th, a RUDDY TURNSTONE was seen at Twin Lakes SRA.

In western Nebraska in Scotts Bluffs County on the 21st, 3 BLACK-HEADED
GROSBEAKS visited a feeder in Mitchell. On the 23rd, a PHILADELPHIA
VIREO was seen at Lake Minatare.

In Sheridan County on the 21st, a TENNESSEE WARBLER and a BLACKPOLL WARBLER
were seen at Walgren Lake.

In Keith County on the 15th, 5 ROSS'S GEESE and 2 CINNAMON TEAL were found
at Lake Ogallala and a WESTERN TANAGER was seen at Lake McConaughy. Also
on the 15th, 3 MISSISSIPPI KITES were seen in Ogallala. In Garden County
on the 15th, 2 MACGILLIVRAY'S WARBLERS and a BREWER'S SPARROW were seen at
Crescent Lake NWR.
