Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Wednesday, July 17th.

In eastern Nebraska in Lancaster County the following species were seen
at Pawnee Lake: an AMERICAN WHITE PELICAN, a GREAT EGRET, 50 KILLDEER, a
SEMIPALMATED PLOVER, 3 SOLITARY SANDPIPERS, 2 PECTORAL SANDPIPERS, 3
SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPERS, 3 LEAST SANDPIPERS, 2 BAIRD'S SANDPIPERS and a
LEAST TERN.

In Dodge County on the 15th, 2 LEAST TERNS were found on the Platte River
at Hormel Park south of Fremont.

In Sarpy County on the 13th in Bellevue, a PILEATED WOODPECKER was seen
just north of the marsh in Fontenelle Forest.

In Iowa south of Council Bluffs on the 10th, a SEMIPALMATED SANDPIPER, 2
RUDDY TURNSTONES and 5 LEAST TERNS were found at MidAmerican south pond.
