Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Friday, Aug. 23rd.

In eastern Nebraska in Knox County on the 21st, an immature male CALLIOPE
HUMMINGBIRD and an immature RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD visited the Brogies'
hummingbird garden in Creighton. The CALLIOPE HUMMINGBIRD was seen again
today, the 23rd, along with a RUBY-THROATED HUMMINGBIRD. On the 22nd, a
CANADA WARBLER was seen along Bazile Creek just north of Center.

In Douglas County in Omaha, a RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD has been reported coming
to a feeder at 90thand Maple since the 19th.

In western Nebraska on the 21st in Kimball County, a TOWNSEND'S WARBLER,
a WILSON'S WARBLER and 4 BREWER'S SPARROWS were seen in the Bushnell
Cemetery. Also on the 21st, 7 WILSON'S WARBLERS and 4 BLUE GROSBEAKS were
seen along Lodgepole Creek west of Bushnell.

In Scotts Bluff County on the 21st, a PIPING PLOVER was seen at Lake Minatare.
