Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Thursday, Sept. 26th.

In western Nebraska on the 24th in Scotts Bluff County, a CALLIOPE
HUMMINGBIRD and a HERMIT THRUSH were seen in a Mitchell backyard.

In Grant County on the 24th, 2 TRUMPETER SWANS, CANVASBACKS and 25 GREATER
YELLOWLEGS were found just east of Hyannis.

In Cheyenne County on the 19th in Sidney, a HAMMOND'S FLYCATCHER was seen
in the Greenwood Cemetery.

In central Nebraska on the 25th in Harlan County, 7 RED-NECKED PHALAROPES
were found at the south sewage pond in Alma.

In eastern Nebraska on the 19th in Cass County, 8 GREAT EGRETS, a
COOPER'S HAWK and 32 YELLOW-RUMPED WARBLERS were found along the Platte
River near Louisville, and an immature BALD EAGLE was seen at Platte River
State Park. Also on the 19th, 3 EURASIAN COLLARED-DOVES were spotted in Elmwood.
