Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Saturday, Nov. 16th.

In eastern Nebraska in Douglas County on the 15th, a male BARROW'S
GOLDENEYE was found at Cunningham Lake north of Omaha. On the 16th, a
WESTERN GREBE, a first year SURF SCOTER and 64 HOODED MERGANSERS were seen
at Cunningham Lake, but the BARROW'S GOLDENEYE was not found. At
Zorinsky Lake on the 16th, a COMMON LOON was seen.

In Sarpy County on the 16th, 3 immature/female BLACK SCOTERS were found
at Wehrspann Lake.

In Cedar County on the 15th, a LONG-TAILED DUCK was seen at Gavin's Point
above the dam. Also on the 15th, a RED-NECKED GREBE was seen at the
Marina on the South Dakota side of Lewis and Clark Lake.

In Lancaster County on the 16th, 2 COMMON LOONS, 4 WESTERN GREBES, a
RED-NECKED GREBE and 3 RED-BREASTED MERGANSERS were seen at Branched Oak
Lake. On the 11th, a PACIFIC LOON and 9 WESTERN GREBES were found at
Branched Oak Lake.

In central Nebraska on the 11th in Buffalo County, a NORTHERN SHRIKE was
spotted about a mile east of Gibbon.

On the 10th in Sherman County, 8 KILLDEER and 12 WILSON'S SNIPE were seen
at Bowman Lake WMA.

In northwestern Howard County on the 10th, a NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen 2
miles southwest of Cotesfield.

In Western Nebraska in Scotts Bluff County on the 11th, a LONG-TAILED
DUCK was seen at the Scotsbluff Sewage Lagoons. Also on the 11th, 3
GREAT-TAILED GRACKLES were seen south of Morrill near Kiowa WMA, and 2
GREATER YELLOWLEGS were spotted between Mitchell and Morrill.

On the 8th in Sioux County, a CLARK'S NUTCRACKER was seen about one mile
west of the Monroe Canyon campground. On the 9th, a GOLDEN EAGLE, 31
PINYON JAYS, 10 PYGMY NUTHATCHES and 6 TOWNSEND'S SOLITAIRES were found in
the Gilbert-Baker WMA.

In Iowa south of Council Bluffs on the 15th, a COMMON LOON, 52 HOODED
MERGANSERS, 40 RED- BREASTED MERGANSERS and 2 BLACK SCOTERS were found at
Lake Manawa.
