Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Tuesday, Nov. 26th.

In eastern Nebraska Burt County on the 26th, a SNOWY OWL was spotted 2
miles east and 2 miles north of the Tekamah courthouse.

In Pawnee County on the 24th, a BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT-HERON was seen at
Burchard Lake. Also on the 24th, a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was spotted 3.5
miles southeast of Pawnee City and another was seen 3.5 miles south of
Burchard Lake.

In Richardson County on the 24th, a PILEATED WOODPECKER was seen at
Indian Cave State Park a half mile north of the "cave."

In Sarpy County on the 24th, 8 BALD EAGLES were seen south of Bellevue
around Catfish Lake along Cunningham Road. On the 26th, 5 HOODED
MERGANSERS were seen on Offutt Lake.

In Douglas County on the 22nd, 3 AMERICAN WHITE PELICANS and 2
BLACK-CROWNED NIGHT- HERONS were seen at Cunningham Lake north of Omaha.

In central Nebraska on the 23rd in Gosper County, 20,000 SNOW GEESE, 8
COMMON MERGANSERS and 3 BALD EAGLES were found at Johnson Lake.
