Dear Nebraska Birders,

We will no longer be doing the Nebraska Birdline after August 1st. The
Nebraska Birdline has been sponsored for the last 12 years by the Audubon
Society of Omaha because the cost of the phone line for the voice
recording of the birdline was paid by them. We thank them, very much,
for their financial support. As of this writing, no one from the Omaha
area has volunteered to continue the birdline so the voice recording will
be discontinued as well as the e-mail and web-based version.

Without the voice recording the electronic version (e-mail) could be
continued by a volunteer anywhere in the state. Currently the Nebraska
Birdline is being sent to Nebirds, the IOU website and Bird Central
(BIRDCNTR), a service of the National Birding Hotline Cooperative.
BIRDCNTR serves birders in the central part of the U.S. and Canada.
Anyone who might be interested in volunteering to continue the Nebraska
Birdline may contact us at the address below for more information.

Thanks for your reports and support over the years.

Sincerely,

Loren and Babs Padelford
