Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Tuesday, Jan. 28th.

In eastern Nebraska on the 25th in Washington County, 2 BALD EAGLES, a
COOPER'S HAWK, a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK and RUSTY BLACKBIRD were found at Boyer
Chute NWR. Also on the 25th, a WILSON'S SNIPE was seen in a ditch just
east of Fort Calhoun Water Treatment Plant.

In Sarpy County on the 28th in Bellevue, a HERMIT THRUSH continued to
visit a bird bath on Bellevue Boulevard. On the 14th, a COOPER'S HAWK
was spotted chasing birds across from the wildlife sanctuary on St.
Andrews Road.

In Iowa at DeSoto NWR, 10 BALD EAGLES and a SCREECH OWL (Visitor's Center)
were seen. In northeast Council Bluffs, a HERMIT THRUSH continues to
visit a bird bath. On the 24th, 6 TRUMPETER SWANS (2 with green
neckbands) were seen at Lake Manawa.
