Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2003.

In eastern Nebraska on the 5th in Douglas County, 6 TRUMPETER SWANS (2
with green neck collars), 2 WOOD DUCKS and an adult GLAUCOUS GULL in basic
plumage were found at the north end of Carter Lake located across from
Eppley airport. On the 4th in Omaha, 2 PINE SISKINS came to a feeder
southwest of Methodist Hospital. On the 1st, 2 PURPLE FINCHES were seen
at Neale Woods Nature Center.

In Washington County on the 1st, 6 COMMON REDPOLLS were seen at Boyer
Chute NWR.

In Lancaster County on the 4th south of Denton, 16 NORTHERN BOBWHITES and a
CAROLINA WREN came to the feeding station at Spring Creek Prairie.

In central Nebraska in Hall County, a PINE WARBLER has been visiting a
feeder since November in Doniphan. It was last seen on Feb. 3rd.
