Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Friday, Apr. 18th, 2003.

In eastern Nebraska in Douglas County on the 16th, a COOPER'S HAWK, a
BROAD-WINGED HAWK and a HERMIT THRUSH were seen at Neale Woods. In
Washington County on the 16th, 3 HOUSE WRENS and a YELLOW-THROATED WARBLER
were found at Neale Woods on the Krimlovski Tract.

In Sarpy County on the 17th, 15 CATTLE EGRETS were seen in Haworth Park
in Bellevue. On the 16th in Bellevue, a NORTHERN PARULA was found in
Fontenelle Forest on North Stream Trail. On the 13th, a PRAIRIE FALCON
was spotted at Chalco Hills Recreation Area. On the 12th, an EARED GREBE
was found at Walnut Creek Recreation Area west of Papillion.

In Knox County on the 18th, 2 GRAY PARTRIDGES were seen 2 miles west and 3
miles north of Creighton. Also on the 18th, 4 BLACK-BILLED MAGPIES were
found north of Creighton.

In Lancaster County on the 16th, 2 PEREGRINE FALCONS were seen on the
Capitol Building in Lincoln.

In central Nebraska on the 17th, 2 FORSTER'S TERNS were seen at the dam
at Harlan County Reservoir.

In western Nebraska in Sheridan County on the 11th, 4 BLACK-NECKED STILTS
were seen at the west end of Hancock Lake, 1 mile west of Lakeside.

In western Sioux County on the 11th, the CURVE-BILLED THRASHER was still
being seen on the Frimann Ranch.

In Lincoln County on the 16th, 2 CATTLE EGRETS were found at the North
Platte Fish Hatchery ponds off of State Farm Road south of North Platte.

In Iowa south of Council Bluffs on the 15th, 12 CATTLE EGRETS and a GREAT
EGRET were seen at Lake Manawa, and on the 17th, a FORSTER'S TERN was found there.
