Welcome to an update of the Nebraska Birdline, sponsored by the Audubon
Society of Omaha, for Saturday, May 10th, 2003.

In eastern Nebraska in Sarpy County on the 8th at Schramm Park, a
GOLDEN-WINGED WARBLER and 2 KENTUCKY WARBLERS were seen. In Bellevue on
the 7th, a SUMMER TANAGER was spotted in Fontenelle Forest. In Douglas
County on the 7th, 2 CERULEAN WARBLERS were seen at the north end of
Hummel Park.

In Saunders County on the 8th, 14 BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPERS were found at
a Todd Valley Wetland 5 miles south of Cedar Bluffs. Also on the 8th, a
SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHER was seen at a cattle yard catchment basin near Memphis.

In Fillmore County on the 7th, a MAGNOLIA WARBLER, a WILSON'S WARBLER and a
PALM WARBLER were seen in the Geneva Cemetery.

In Lancaster County on the 9th at Branched Oak Lake, a BLACK-BELLIED
PLOVER, a MARBLED GODWIT, a RUDDY TURNSTONE and a CASPIAN TERN were seen.
On the 9th in Lincoln, a GRAY-CHEEKED THRUSH and a CERULEAN WARBLER were
found at Wilderness Park at Pioneers Boulevard. On the 4th, an adult
LITTLE BLUE HERON was seen there. On the 6th at Stagecoach Lake, a GREAT
EGRET, 2 SEMIPALMATED PLOVERS, 22 LEAST SANDPIPERS, 3 WHITE-RUMPED
SANDPIPERS, 4 FORSTER'S TERNS and a SEDGE WREN were seen. At Wagontrain
Lake on the 6th, 2 OSPREYS, 10 FRANKLIN'S GULLS, a NASHVILLE WARBLER and 2
YELLOW-HEADED BLACKBIRDS were found.

In Richardson County on the 2nd at Indian Cave State Park, an AMERICAN
WOODCOCK, a COMMON NIGHTHAWK, 6 CHUCK-WILL'S-WIDOWS and several
WHIP-POOR-WILLS were found.

In western Nebraska in Lincoln County on the 7th, a LAZULI BUNTING was
seen at a feeder in Brady. On the 8th, a small flock of BLACK TERNS was
seen at the North Platte sewage lagoon north of I-80 and east of Newberry.
