In Kimball and Sioux Counties on the 1st, a McGillivray's Warbler
and , Hammond's Flycatcher were seen. A Curve-billed Thrasher still
remains at the Frimann Ranch in Sioux County. A Cooper's Hawk was
seen at the Bushnell cemetery.

In Scotts Bluff County on the 3rd, a Northern Waterthrush, a flock
of Chipping Sparrows and a Bullock Oriole were recorded in Mitchell.

In Sarpy County on the 4th, a Yellow-throated Vireo and a Swainson's
Thrush were seen in Fontanelle Forest.

In Keith County on the 5th, a Yellow-billed Loon was seen at Lake
McConaughy (see Nebraska Birdline for September 3, 2003). It has
been stated by people living in the area and frequenting Lake
McConaughy that the Yellow-billed Loon had been hanging around the
dam all summer.

In Lancaster County on the 3rd, 2 House Wrens, 5 Eastern Wood
Pewees, a Great Crested Flycatcher, a Cooper's hawk, a Gray
Catbird, 5 Baltimore orioles, a Blue-headed vireo, a Warbling
vireo, a Red-eyed Vireo, a Brown Thrasher, a American Redstart, and
a Swainson's Thrush were seen in Wilderness Park, Lincoln. Also a
few Ruby-throated Hummingbirds have appeared at a feeder over the
past week or so in Lincoln.

In Sarpy County on the 6th, an Osprey rested in a tree in the
Fontenelle Forest Wetlands.

In Sarpy County on the 5th and 6th, an American Woodcock was seen at
Spring Lake, a park of urban Omaha.

In Scotts Bluff County on the 6th, 9 Soras, several Baird's
Sandpipers, Least Sandpipers, Semipalmated Sandpipers, 2
Semipalmated Plovers, an Eared Grebe, a Piebilled Grebe, Western
Grebes, a couple hundred of American Coots, a Wigeon, a Gadwall, a
Green-winged Teal, a Wood Duck and a few Mallards and Canada Geese
were observed at Winter's Creek. Also at Winter's Creek: Great-
Horned Owl, 7 Great-Blue Herons, Wilson's Warblers,a Marsh Wren, a
Kingfisher, Franklin Gulls and Ring-billed Gulls. Several Wilson's
Warblers, 2 Western Tanagers and Rose-breasted Grosbeak were in Mitchel.

In Scotts Bluff County on the 6th, a Western Wood-Pewee, a Say's
Phoebe, 10-20 Cassin's Kingbirds, a Western Kingbird, a Eastern
Kingbird, a Plumbeous Vireo, a Blue-headed Vireo, a Townsend's
Solitaire, an Orange-crowned Warbler,a Clay-colored Sparrow, a
Dark-eyed Junco, a Blue Grosbeak, a Lazuli Bunting and a Red
Crossbill were seen in Carter Canyon southeast of Gering.

In Sarpy County on the 7th, a Baltimore Oriole, 2 Great Horned Owls
and Killdeers were seen in Bellevue.

In Sarpy County on the 7th, a Mississippi Kite and immature Broad-
winged Hawk were seen at Schram SP.

In Franklin County on the 7th, an Eurasian Collared-Dove was seen at
Campbell.

In Webster County on the 7th, at least two Eurasian Collared-Doves
and 2 Carolina Wrens were recorded at Red Cloud. A pair of American
Wigeons, an Osprey and a Merlin were seen at the Red Cloud sewage
lagoon. A Northern Pintail and a Yellow-billed Cuckoo were seen four
miles east of the north edge of Red Cloud . Three Warbling Vireos
were recorded at Pawnee Lake which is two miles west of Guide Rock.
An immature Dickcissel was seen four miles southwest of Guide Rock.
At least one Chipping Sparrow, at least one Clay-colored Sparrow and
a female Rose-breasted Grosbeak were seen three miles south of Red
Cloud. A total of six or seven Turkey Vultures and nine or ten
American Kestrels were recorded in Webster County. In Adams County a
male Great-tailed Grackle was seen four miles northeast of Holstein.

In the Panhandle on the 6th, 1 MacGillivray's warbler, 8 Wilson's
warblers, a Plumbeous vireo, 2 Western wood pewee, 2 Virginia rail,
and numerous Eastern and Western kingbirds were seen at Lake Oliver
in Kimball County. In Scotts Bluff County, numerous Eastern and
Western Kingbirds, 2 Wilson's Warblers, a American redstart, a
Warbling Vireo, a Blue Grosbeak, a Black-headed Grosbeak were seen
at Gering Cemetery Gulch. In Scotts Bluff County a Townsend's
warbler was seen at Wildcat Hills Nature Center. In Scotts Bluff
County, a Sage Thrasher and 3 White-throated Swifts were observed at
the National Monument visitor center. In Sioux County a Prairie
Falcon, 2 Eastern Screech Owls, 2 Least flycatchers, a Say's phoebe,
a House Wren and 2 Wilson's warblers were seen at or near Nerod Ranch.
