In Lancaster County on the 15th, 20 Herring Gulls, 6 Hooded Mergansers, about 6,000 Snow
Geese, few Ross's Geese, 5 Red-breasted Mergansers, 19 Common Mergansers, a female Surf
Scoter, a Common Loon, 6 Buffleheads and 2 Eared Grebes were seen at Branched Oak Lake.
A Killdeer and a Bufflehead were recorded at Pawnee Lake. Three Purple Finches were
observed in Lincoln. Two Common Goldeneyes and 10 Ruddy Ducks were seen at Stagecoach
Lake. Thirty-four Ruddy Ducks, 5 Buffleheads and a Pied-billed Grebe were recorded at
Wagontrain Lake.

In Kearney County on the 16th, a Greater Prairie-Chicken was seen four miles north of
Heartwell.

In Clay County on the 16th, 2 Ruddy Ducks were seen at the Harvard Sewage Lagoons. Also a
Greater White-fronted Goose, 12 Eurasian Collared-Doves and at least 700 Lapland Longspurs
were recorded in southwestern and central parts of the county.

In Lincoln County on the 18th, a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker and at least 19 Eurasian
Collared-Doves were seen in North Platte/Brady.

In Knox County on the 16th, an American Bittern was observed.

In Douglas County on the 20th, 2 adult female Long-tailed Ducks and 2 Common Loons were
seen at Lake Manawa.

In Howard County on the 22nd, a Northern Shrike was seen north of the Highway 11 bridge
over the Middle Loup River, and 2 Golden-crowned Kinglets were observed three and a half
miles west of Dannebrog. Two Eurasian Collared-Doves were observed in St. Paul. A
Rough-legged Hawk was recorded nw of Merrick.
