In Red Willow County on the 7th, a male Cooper's Hawk was recorded a few miles west of
McCook.

In Lincoln County on the 7th, 21 Greater Prairie-chickens were seen SE of Wallace.

In Lincoln, Frontier, Red Willow, Hitchcock and Hayes Counties thousands of Horned Larks
were seen in crop fields.

In Douglas County on the 9th, a Short-eared Owl was recorded behind Eppley Airfield.

In Keith County on the 11th, 5 Bald Eagles, 50 Herring Gulls, 1 Western Grebe,
1 Green-Winged Teal, 7 Buffleheads, 12 Common Goldeneyes, and a Canvasback were observed
at Lake Ogallala.

In Sarpy County on the 11th, 27 Red-tailed Hawks, 5 American Kestrels and 7 Bald Eagles
were recorded during winter raptor survey. Also Lapland Longspurs were seen in southwest
part of the county.

In Scotts Bluff County on the 12th, 2 Canvasbacks, a Northern Pintail, 35 Common
Goldeneyes, 8 Lesser Scaups, about 60 American Wigeons and 10 Redheads were observed
at Scottsbluff sewer lagoons. Twenty-six Ring-necked Ducks, 16 Lesser Scaups and 2
Canvasbacks were seen at a pond east of the lagoons. About 40 American Wigeons, 27
Common Goldeneyes, and 7 Lesser Scaups were recorded at Gering sewer lagoons.

In Dawson County on the 11th, 6 Snow Geese were seen at Helen Lake in Gothenburg.

In Lincoln County on the 14th, a Ferruginous Hawk was seen in Brady.

In Washington County on the 15th, 8 Red-tailed Hawks, 3 American Kestrels, 2 Rough-legged
Hawks, and a Cooper's Hawk were seen during winter raptor survey (the route was 51 miles;
3.64 raptors/mile).

In Burt County on the 15th, 13 Red-tailed Hawks, a Bald Eagle, and a female Merlin were
recorded during winter raptor survey (the route was 55 miles; 3.66 raptors/mile).
