Cemetery in Lincoln.
In Lancaster County on the 17th, a Green Heron was recorded at Cracker Barrel Marsh
in Lincoln.
In Lancaster County on the 17th, Northern Rough-winged Swallows were seen in Arbor
Lake area in Lincoln.
In Lancaster County on the 17th, a Hudsonian Godwit, 2 Buffleheads, and an American
Avocet were observed at Branched Oak Lake.
In Seward County on the 17th, a pair of Swainson's Hawks was seen in Seward.
In Dixon County on the 17th, a pair of Black-billed Magpies were seen, and 11 male
Greater Prairie-Chickens were recorded at two leks near Buckskin Hills WMA (the most
easterly known leks in NE Nebraska).
In Lancaster County on the 17th, Chimney Swifts were seen at Oak Lake, an Osprey was
recorded at Pawnee Lake, 5 Great Egrets were recorded at Meadowlark Lake, and a Brown
Thrasher and over 20 Yellow-headed Blackbirds were seen at Wildwood Lake.
In Lincoln County on the 19th, a male Peregrine Falcon was recorded at the Hatchery
Ponds in North Platte.
In Lincoln County on the 20th, an Osprey and 2 Forster's Terns were observed at Maloney
Reservoir, 2 Bank Swallows were seen around the Hatchery Ponds in North Platte, and
13 American Avocets were seen on South Platte River just east of the bridge N. of the
east North Platte interchange.
In Buffalo County on the 20th, a Brown Thrasher was recorded.
In Douglas County on the 21st, a House Wren and 2 Orange-crowned Warblers were observed.
In Washington County on the 21st, 2 Soras and a Virginia Rail were recorded at Nathan's
Lake in SE part of that county.
In Dundy County on the 22nd, 6 American Avocets, a Brown Thrasher and a Lark Sparrow
were seen along the Republican River.
In Sarpy County on the 22nd, 2 Northern Parulas, 3 Yellow-throated Warblers, a Louisiana
Waterthroush, 3 Hermit Thrushes and 2 Pileated Woodpeckers were observed in Fontenelle
Forest.
In Nuckolls County on the 23rd, a Pine Siskin and an Northern Mockingbird were recorded.
In Lancaster County on the 23rd, a Henslow's Sparrow, 2 Sprague's Pipits, 8 Brown
Thrashers and a Louisiana Waterthrush were seen at Spring Creek near Denton.
In Keith County on the 23rd, 12 Common Loons, a Red-necked Grebe, 2 Great Egrets,
4 Ross' Geese, 12 American Avocets, 2 Willets, 10 Long-billed Curlews, 15 Marbled
Godwits, 10 Bonaparte's Gulls, a Caspian Tern, 6 Forster's Terns and a Say's Phoebe
were recorded at and around Lake Ogallala.
In Sarpy County on the 23rd, 2 Sprague's Pipits and a Wood Thrush were recorded in
Bellevue.
In Buffalo County on the 19th, a Sandhill Crane was seen in Gibbon and a Chimney Swift
in Kearney.
In Buffalo County on the 21st, an Osprey was recorded near Gibbon.
In Pawnee County on the 25th, 5 Greater Prairie-Chickens, 9 Black-crowned Night-Herons,
a Virginia Rail, and 2 Willets were seen at Burchard Lake SRA.
In Nemaha County on the 25th, a Louisiana Waterthrush was singing at Brownville Cemetery.
In Lancaster County on the 25th, a pair of Blue-gray Gnatcatchers was seen around nest
at Wilderness Park in Lincoln.
In Cheyenne County on the 25th, 3 Eurasian Collard-Doves, 2 Orange-crowned Warblers
and a Lark Bunting were seen in Sidney.
In Dakota County on the 25th, a Louisiana Waterthrush was recorded at Crystal Cove
Park in South Sioux City.
In Sarpy County on the 26th, a Louisiana Waterthrush was recorded at Fontanelle
Forest.
In Knox County on the 26th, a Common Loon, a Snowy Egret, an Osprey, 5 American
Avocets and a Whip-poor-will were observed.
In Antelope County on the 26th, 13 Marbled Godwits and 3 Willets were seen near
Creighton.
In Lincoln County on the 26th, an Osprey, 5 Eurasian Collared-Doves, a Barn Owl
and a Chimney Swift were observed in the Brady area.
In Lancaster County on the 26th, an Osprey was flying over in downtown Lincoln.
In Garfield County on the 25th and 26th, 4 Eurasian Collared-Doves, a Bald Eagle,
a Merlin, a Peregrine Falcon and 7 Purple Martins were recorded at Burwell. Four
Sharp-tailed Grouse were seen more in west central part of that county.
